The Full Circle Players board is dedicated to equity, diversity, and inclusion as we strive to bring world-class theatre to Riverside, California, and the Inland Empire. As a board and company, we hold ourselves to high artistic, professional, and personal standards.

President/ Artistic Director

Wendi Johnson

She/they: is the Founding Artistic Director of Full Circle Players a 501c3 nonprofit theatre company in Riverside. She is also the Director of Theatre at Henry J. Kaiser High School. She holds a Master’s Degree in directing from Chicago College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University, Chicago, a masters in Shakespearean Studies and a Bachelor's Degree in Theatre acting emphasis from Cal State San Bernardino. She is a trained intimacy director. She carries teaching credentials in Multiple Subjects, Single Subject English, supplemental theatre, and CTE Arts, Media and Entertainment. Wendi is an advocate for the arts and has a deep passion for equity in access of theatre. Wendi has directed locally, professionally and in the High School Arena. Some Directing Credits include: Electra by Sophocles a new adaptation by Rob Crisell (available from Eldridge Plays)

Addams Family the musical and Julius Caesar by Shakespeare.

Rebecca Reber

Rebecca is an award winning, classically trained actress with 35 years of stage experience. She studied at both Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and Cal State Northridge before moving to the Inland Empire. Rebecca has been a specialized educator for 22 years working with teen parents and their infants. Rebecca has performed in The Merry Wives of Windsor, Hamlet, Electra, and The Tempest with Full Circle Players.

Thaddies Jackson

Thaddies Jackson is a professional actor and local philanthropist. He has dedicated many of his efforts to community theatre, education, and youth activities. He has been quoted saying “This isn’t how any of us expected this year to go, but true strength lies in the ability to adapt; and adapt we shall."

Romeo Maybrier

Romeo Maybrier (he/they) is a director, actor, writer, dramaturg, designer, and all-around theatre-maker whose work focuses on inclusion, diversity, and multiculturalism. They received their BA in Shakesqueer: Marginalized Identity in Text, Composition, and Adaptation from the University of Redlands’ Johnston Center for Integrative Studies, and received their MA in Shakespeare & Creativity from the University of Birmingham’s Shakespeare Institute in Stratford-upon-Avon, UK. He has worked with various theatre programs and companies throughout the Inland Empire. Previous work with Full Circle Players includes assistant directing and playing the role of Rosencrantz in Hamlet, and playing the role of Chorus 2 (or Melpomene) in Electra.

Tushar Raman Oza

Tushar earned his Masters in Theatre Arts from Eastern Michigan University and was an adjunct faculty member for 24 years. His parents fell in love while performing in an intercollegiate theatre competitive festival and he has been immersed in theatre since childhood. After high school graduation from India, he was a student in London before coming to the USA.

His area of studies include Oral Interpretation of Literature, Shakespeare, and directing. He has been invited to present at numerous regional, national, and international conferences. Having experienced theatre on three continents, he embraces a diverse range of performance art styles. Theatre must be all inclusive and always accessible.

Matthew Johnson

Matthew is a graduate of the MFA Creative Writing program at University of Riverside Palm Desert. He has published fantasy novels, "Ascension," "Dragon's Vein," a horror novel "Extermination" and two plays "Lazarus Rising," a zombie play, and "Wooing the Dragon."

Sarah Sheppeck

Sarah Sheppeck (they/she) is a writer, editor, and performer. They are the co-Editor-in-Chief of queer literary and fashion magazine just femme & dandy, as well as the Managing Editor of Crash Course series How To College. Born and raised in upstate New York, they are now back in their hometown after stints in Vegas, LA, Brooklyn, and the woods of northern Maine. They enjoy watching TV with their beloved dog daughter, Chloe, and reading crime novels with their horrible cat son, Rita Moreno.

Steve Llamas

Steve Llamas (YA-MA-SSS) is a versatile artist and cultural scholar hailing from Fontana, California, the ancestral lands of the Gabrielino-Tongva, Kizh, and other Indigenous communities fighting for recognition. He first began his training at Fullerton College before transferring to UC San Diego, which is situated on the ancestral lands of the Kumeyaay & those still fighting for recognition, where he earned a BA in Theatre Arts with a minor in Chicanx/Latinx Studies in 2023. His work is deeply rooted in the evolving Chicanx Movement, focusing on revitalizing ancestral mythologies and histories to achieve collective liberation.
Steve's theatrical journey spans acting, sound design, playwriting, directing, and collaboration. He has focused on new works, particularly those highlighting Indigenous stories and Latine themes, as well as new plays in general. His productions include Antikoni, The Wondrous Adventures of Pia Sandia, IYA: The Ex’celen Remember, blu, and The Shrunken Head of Pancho Villa, among others. Additionally, he self-produced and directed his one-act play Can I Even It Out at UC San Diego, which explores the Western emphasis on legality over morality and the lack of empathy embedded in it.

Steve has conducted a Chicanx Theatre workshop for high school students and served as a community engagement intern at Orange County's largest non-profit arts organization, Segerstrom Center for the Arts. He is passionate about the transformative power of Necessary Theatre for oppressed communities, utilizing storytelling to advocate for social change and embrace the complexities of identity. Through his commitment to art education, community support, and anti-colonial practices, Steve envisions a world without borders by using theatre as a catalyst for empowerment and connection.

Jeremy Mercado

Jeremy Mercado is an actor who graduated from California State University, Fullerton, with a Bachelors of Fine Arts degree in acting, in 2017. He has loved theatre all his life and has taken part in several Full Circle Players productions including Othello, A Very Dickens Christmas Carol, and Merry Wives of Windsor.

Pierre van der Westhuizen

Pierre van der Westhuizen is a dynamic member of our theater group's Board of Directors, bringing over 15 years of experience in the performing arts to our leadership team. His extensive background as an actor, director, and producer, combined with his training in stage combat and pyrotechnics, gives him a unique perspective on both the artistic and operational aspects of theater. Pierre has received accolades such as the Excellence in Theater Award and has successfully directed and produced several acclaimed productions. His passion for the arts and commitment to fostering creative talent make him an invaluable asset to our board.
